I have a good idea of what I want my wedding to be like. Why would I want to hire a wedding planner?

Even if you know exactly what you want, I can help by doing the legwork in advance and by facilitating on the day of your wedding. My job is to remove your stress and to help things run smoothly.

I have no idea what style wedding we want. How could you help us?

I can guide you through the process of considering the various possibilites and creating a wedding that fits your style and reflects your values. I can also assist with practical matters such as creating a time line for getting things done (like sending out the invitations) and setting a budget and sticking to it.

Our budget is limited. Why would we add the additional expense of hiring a planner?

With my experience, I may actually be able to save you money. To be married in Wisconsin the only things that are required are a marriage license and a witness. Everything else is optional. I am able to help you consider what is most important to you in creating a celebration that reflects your values within your budget.

We only want a planner to do a few things. Can we hire you in a very limited capacity?

Yes. I have a two hour minimum. If that is all you wish, I will gladly offer whatever assistance you need to help your wedding run smoothly.

We want a nice wedding, but we have no time to do any of the work. Can you take care of all the details?

Yes. I gladly offer whatever assistance you need to help your wedding run smoothly. If you want to give me a guest list, a date and a budget, I can take care of most of the details for your wedding.

Do you do same sex ceremonies?

Yes. I believe a loving union between two people deserves to be celebrated and supported by their community. Regardless of the gender of you and your partner, I would be honored to assist in your celebration.

What’s the difference between a “Party” and a “Celebration”?

The only difference is the scope of the event. Celebrations are usually larger and more public. Parties are more private affairs. Most celebrations will involve renting a location and hiring entertainment. Most parties can be accomodated in a home. I say “most” because there is a continuum between Celebrations and Parties and they may share many characteristics.

How much help can you provide for my party?

I can help with as many or as few of the aspects of your party as you like. I can meet with you once to plan the flow of your party, or I can help plan every aspect, send out your invitations, decorate and set up in advance, act as a hired hostess and do the clean up.

I just need a little help with my party, can I hire you for that?

Yes. My speciality is in tailoring my services to meet your needs.
