Ben and Abha (Hindi-Western Fusion):
Ben and Abha wanted to celebrate her Indian traditions and honor their families. They also wanted to create a celebration that honored their own values and created an atmosphere of fun! The Solution: We held their wedding and reception under celebration tents at Paradise Park. After the jaan (grooms procession), Ben joined their combined families by flying in on a zip line! They then celebrated their wedding with a combination of Hindi and western ceremony traditions under a mandap. During their reception they had traditional Hindi dancing, a western DJ, and a jumping castle for the children. The Result: Multicultural elegance and fun! The Solution: We held their wedding around an outdoor fireplace decorated with candle lanterns and luminaria. During their personalized ceremony, each guest read a literary passage that Bill and Isa had selected to reflect their feelings of love and friendship. Photos courtesy of Orbis Arts
Dawn and John (Child-like Playfulness): Dawn & John wanted a fun colorful wedding that celebrated the childlike playfulness that brought them together. The Solution: We unified their look by choosing three colors- orange, fuchsia and yellow. Their motif was a Shasta daisy and their theme was child-like playfulness. We celebrated everybody’s inner child with a beautiful candy buffet, fun toys for favors and centerpieces and the wedding party even used their wax lips for a great photo.
Roxanne and Jim (Earth, Air, Fire & Water): Roxanne and Jim wanted a wedding with a masquerade flair The Solution: Their wedding was Halloween weekend with their attendants representing Earth, Air, Fire and Water, and a masquerade ball reception. She wanted her family and friends to feel comfortable, and she wanted to be able to relax and enjoy her guests. The Solution: We planned a celebration of books and reading! Since she is finally going to have time to read for pleasure, she requested that everyone bring her a book they thought she would enjoy. These were left on a bookshelf for the guest of honor. Melodee also gave away books that she has enjoyed. Everyone got to choose a book from the centerpieces to take with them at the end of the party. What a fun theme, and a great conversation starter! Here are some pictures of her party including some surprising book selections by her guests. Message from Melodee: Thank you so much for your help with my Graduation Party. Your ideas were so creative; your help with the set-up made it go so smoothly; and your assistance at the party was priceless to me! The next time I have an event, you can be sure that I will be calling you. Thank you!
